Executive Committee

Meet our distinguished local executive committee

Sylvie Babajko

Sylvie Babajko

Senior investigator at Inserm, PhD in Life Science, Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology, Expert on endocrine disruptors for ANSES.

She develops an Innovative field of research on exposome and dental pathologies including endocrine disruptors and hormones in Odontology. She explores the connection between environmental agents and enamel defects, their mechanisms in dental cells, and their role in endocrine regulation of amelogenesis and dental development.

Catherine Chaussain

Catherine Chaussain

Professor Catherine Chaussain (DDS-PhD) is head of the laboratory Oral Health - UMR 1333 INSERM at the dental school of Université Paris Cité, France and co-head of the Federation FHU -DDS Net.

Her research topics regroup chronic and rare diseases affecting teeth and facial bones. She is interested in the process of regeneration of these tissues in order to develop therapeutic strategies to restore them.

Rodrigo Lacruz

Rodrigo Lacruz

Professor at the New York University College of Dentistry, Dept. of Molecular Pathobiology. Director of the Metabolism & Inflammation Research Group.

His main research focus is to understand how deficiencies in calcium signaling affect human diseases including amelogenesis imperfecta, Sjogren’s disease and Down syndrome.

Stefan Habelitz

Stefan Habelitz

Professor at the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences at the School of Dentistry at University of California San Francisco

He is interested in mechanisms that allow matrix proteins to control mineralization in enamel and dentin. His lab studies protein/peptide self-assembly into supramolecular structures and their ability to guide calcium phosphate mineral formation with applications to tissue remineralization and repair of dental caries.

Scientific Committee

Enamel 11 features a distinguished scientific committee composed of international experts in dental enamel research. This committee is responsible for ensuring the scientific quality and relevance of the symposium, reviewing submitted work, and participating in the development of the academic program.
